Anuraag Kochhar named ShepHertz tech chief to expand sovereign AI offerings and lead technology strategy.
ShepHertz, the applied AI platform firm based in Delhi, announced the appointment of Anuraag Kochhar as chief technology officer, adding a veteran with nearly three decades of experience in software engineering, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data science and enterprise transformation.
New leadership aims to expand sovereign AI offerings
Kochhar will direct the company’s technology strategy, product innovation, platform engineering and AI‑led transformation initiatives. He will also oversee the engineering roadmap for the firm’s portfolio, which includes AgentAnywhere, a sovereign‑deployable agentic AI platform, and workforce intelligence tools such as wAnywhere, BrowseAnywhere and TalentAnywhere. The move comes as the organization seeks to grow its global reach amid rising demand for secure, governance‑focused AI deployments in regulated sectors.
Career background and expected impact
Before joining the company, Kochhar held senior technology and business leadership roles across India, the United States, Europe and Southeast Asia. His résumé lists stints at Motorola, Schlumberger, STG, Teleste and SMT Electronic Technology, where he worked on software engineering, embedded systems and enterprise technology. More recent positions include CTO and chief data officer responsibilities, leading projects in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain and data science.
The appointment highlights ShepHertz’s intent to strengthen its leadership team as enterprises look for sovereign AI solutions that can operate within existing security, compliance and governance frameworks. “AgentAnywhere addresses a challenge I have encountered throughout my career—bridging the gap between the promise of AI and what regulated enterprises can confidently deploy,” Kochhar said, adding that the platform’s sovereign architecture and compliance‑first design position it for broader enterprise adoption.
